Change Google logo text

Thursday, March 27, 2008

Recently I just went through a script which I quite liked it.It can change the Google logo text with your name or whatever you want.I really enjoyed it.Some of my friends had been asking how to use this script. This made me to write this post.Hope all of you will try it and enjoy it too.

Here are the steps that will help you to learn this trick......

1. Well, this trick works on Firefox,So you need to install it ,if you don't have one.
Install Firefox
2. Install Greasemonkey addon
3. Install the script

When you are finished just click twice over Google logo to change text and colors. You can type only letters and space to new logo.In color edit box, type the numbers: 1 - blue, 2 - red, 3 - yellow, 4 - green, other - random.

Do comment if you like this script or have problem using it so that I can help you out....

Follow these steps to solve your problem--

1.Ensure that Greasemonkey addon is installed and is enabled. If it is disabled goto Tools->Greasemonkey->Enabled

2.Then goto Tools->Greasemonkey->Maage User scripts and then enable the script.

Now it will work....

Here is another option.
Which provide more than 80 styles to change google logo.

Just open http://buzzisearch.com/
Enter your name
Select the style you want to use.

And here is your google search engine with your own name.

Bookmark it and make it you default home page.
Now every time you open your brower your own search engine will open.
You can also visit gmail, yahoo, msn, aol from same page from dropdown
box in upper right side

You will also like to add it in your blog or website.
you can also send your url to your friends, and make them surprised.

Never mind, figured it out. The reason why I uninstalled this was the colors looked so dull. Anyways enjoyed and appreciated your labor and passions while I used it. [Just in case there is another novice looking to uninstall - go to Tools, Add-ons, highlight Grease Monkey and then click on options, uninstall and check associations, click ok, Grease Monkey will uninstall on browser restart (I may have missed out a step or two, old age, huh, but easy to figure out once you are there). Thanks.

Here is one more simple option.

Just open the site,

Enter your name,

Select the styles in which you want to display your name.

That's it.

Now set the current page as your homepage, so every time you open your browser, you will get your own search engine. But kindly note that above site is not a part of google inc.
